Summer Romance Beach Reads

Image
It's summer, and who wouldn't love a good summer romance beach read? Well, I am here with a list of books I have read this summer and would want to read.  Summer beach reads are different for everyone, but for me, summer beach reads are happy-ending romantic novels set in summer.  Summer books also contain happy, upbeat readers that match my summer Spotify playlist.   I would not like to be bawling my eyes in the summer, so I prefer happy-endings, but there are millions of other genres you consider as Summer beach reads, and I would love to hear them in the comments. This post is also proof of the amount of love I have for the Enemies to Lovers trope. THE SPANISH LOVE DECEPTION, ELENA  ARMAS I finished this book just this Wednesday, and I literally forgot to sleep while reading this. I started this around 3 am, and the next thing I know, I see the sun. It is rising, and it's 8 am. This book was just so beautiful. If you have read and loved I sold... on Wattpad, then this bo

The Ingenious and the Colour of Life | Book Review

Ever since young Milly Bythaway can remember, she’s had to hide who she really is – dumbing down an extraordinary genius in order to blend into the background. 14-year-old Tai Jones has been abandoned by his mother and forced to live as a homeless wanderer, but the appearance of a stray cat helps him realise he has a special gift: he can see the thoughts and emotions of others in stunningly beautiful colours. A gift that is both wonderful and awful. When they are brought together for their own safety, they hear of the disappearance of a third child, which begins a journey of discovery as their strange and unusual abilities develop. Abilities that they struggle to control. But they must do so; their own fate depends on it. The Ingenious and the Colour of Life  is J.Y. Sam’s beautiful and heart-rending debut – a story that explores the fragility of human nature, with a dash of science, culture, and the natural world, engaging both mind and heart in an eclectic blend of genres. Do not think that I wouldn't become a monster to keep them protected.   SYNOPSIS: Feyre's survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill – the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator, and killing something so precious comes at a price ... Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jeweled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre's presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever. This fantastic, enthralling book series by Sarah J Mass has so many incredible action scenes and such a well

Book Universes that feel like home

Image
I’ve read so many books, and some of the books have become my home. Reading those books makes me feel like I’m returning back home. I have re-read these books so many times that I can recite paragraphs of the book word-to-word. Here are some book universes that have become a home for me, and I would do anything to get an opportunity to visit these universes.  The word Hiraeth perfectly describes my feeling when I talk about Velaris or Hogwarts. 1. Grishaverse (Leigh Bardugo)  " When everyone knows you are a monster, you needn't spend time doing every monstrous thing." If I could be a part of the Grishaverse in any form, I would die. I will sell my soul to be part of the Crows especially. I did not like the Shadow and Bone series too much, but Six of Crows and King of Scars duology have me by my heart. I absolutely loved it! I love criminal books, and I love heists, even more, making me love the Six of Crows even more. I've read around 3-4 books about a heist, and I ho

Favorite OTP's of all time (Part 2)

Valentine's day is coming, and love is supposed to be in the air. Well, for some people, at least, I am sitting in my home writing about fictional characters and their pairings, so who am I to say? So since I am gonna be drinking hot chocolate and reading A Court of Mist and Fury at home, I decided to do a second part of my favorite OTP's. I am going to put the link to the first one down. OTP's are Fictional couples who are endgame from my favorite novels! As much as I love to sit at home and binge The Vampire Diaries, I won't be including Damon and Elena or Klause and Caroline (I ship them more than I ship Stefan and Caroline!) because I haven't read the books.  Kaz and Inej, Six of Crows "I would come for you, and If I couldn't walk, I'd crawl to you." This couple was the most awesome couple I have ever shipped. I mean, the satisfaction that I got when Kaz let Inej hold his hand without gloves was one of the best feelings ever. Kaz Brekker is the
