Summer Romance Beach Reads

It's summer, and who wouldn't love a good summer romance beach read? Well, I am here with a list of books I have read this summer and would want to read.

Summer beach reads are different for everyone, but for me, summer beach reads are happy-ending romantic novels set in summer. Summer books also contain happy, upbeat readers that match my summer Spotify playlist.  I would not like to be bawling my eyes in the summer, so I prefer happy-endings, but there are millions of other genres you consider as Summer beach reads, and I would love to hear them in the comments. This post is also proof of the amount of love I have for the Enemies to Lovers trope.

THE SPANISH LOVE DECEPTION, ELENA  ARMAS

I finished this book just this Wednesday, and I literally forgot to sleep while reading this. I started this around 3 am, and the next thing I know, I see the sun. It is rising, and it's 8 am. This book was just so beautiful. If you have read and loved I sold... on Wattpad, then this book is for you, and well, If you like this and haven't read that one, then you can go check it out too.

The Spanish Love Deception is a workplace, enemies to lovers romance. Catalina Martin is working in this big firm, and she hates this guy Aaron Blackford who works alongside her. Lina's sister is getting married, and she, in an attempt to save herself from embarrassment at her hometown, says she has a boyfriend, and she'll bring him to the wedding. Aaron offers Lina to take him with her to the wedding.

The whole thing starts from that point. The build-up and tension in this book are so perfect, I cannot begin to describe it in words. There are moments where we see Aaron constraining himself so much, and then we see a few moments where he loses control, and those scenes were my absolute favourite. If you love slow-burn enemies to lovers, you have to read this summer romance read.

THE UNHONEYMOONERS, CHRISTINA LAUREN

This book is quite similar to The Spanish Love Deception in its starting concept, but I personally liked The Spanish Love Deception better than the Unhoneymooners. Still, if you are looking for a beach read, this is one of the perfect reads.

The Unhoneymooners is also an enemies to lovers romance. Olive is the maid of honour at her twin sister's wedding, but she hates the Best Man, Ethan, who happens to be the groom's brother. At the wedding, everyone gets food poisoning, and they happen to be the only one who doesn't get food poisoning. Now the groom and bride are unfit for their honeymoon, and Olive and Ethan get a chance to go on a vacation that's supposed to be a honeymoon. Situation piles over situations, and they have to pretend to be married and in love which leads to a recipe for disaster.

There are a few moments where I cringed while reading it, but the rest was great. Their playful banter was one of the best things about this book. There is a lot of miscommunication in this book, and I'm not really a big fan of that part. If you want a light, fun read to pass the time, then this one is for you.

THE DEAL, ELLE KENNEDY ( OFF-CAMPUS & BRIAR U)

The Deal might not precisely come of as Summer Romance since it revolves around Ice Hockey, but it is the first book in one of the best romance series ever. The Deal is the first part of the Briar U/ Off-Campus series, and it might not be the best one of the whole series, but I recommend starting with the first book only.

The Deal is about this guy Garrett Graham, an Ice Hockey player who is failing in a test and won't be allowed to play if he fails it. He sees this girl Hannah Wells, who got an A in the subject. They make a deal that if Hannah helps Garrett with his grades, he will help her get the attention of her crush. Both of them have emotional baggage, and they help each other with it. It would be classified in Enemies to Friends to Lovers, but they weren't much of "enemies" as Garrett didn't even know her name initially.

Briar U/ Off-Campus series has it all, you might not like The Deal, but you might love one of the later books in the series. If you haven't started with this series, then you should soon!

IRRESISTIBLY YOURS, LAUREN LAYNE (OXFORD & SEX, LOVE AND STILETTO)

Oxford series is the twin series to Sex, Love and Stiletto series by Lauren Layne, and I highly recommend reading her books. Sex, Love and Stiletto revolve around stories of these 4 best friends who work in this women's magazine. Oxford company is the twin company in the same building, and this is how I got a few of my sweetest and cutest romance reads.

Talking particularly about Irresistibly Yours, it is the first book in the Oxford series. It tells us the story of Cole and Penelope, who are fighting for the same sport's writing job. While writing about both Irresistibly Yours and The Hating Game, I realised they do have some similarities, but this book is not like The Hating Game because I know many people hate the hating game.

Each book in both the series follows a unique pattern, with one of them having a fun competition (not for a position) and one of them having Brother's best friend trope. So I can guarantee you would love at least one of the books in these series.
