5 Book to Movie adaptations that were just not it

Image
Who doesn't love to binge-watch Harry Potter movies? These movies are so fun to watch. The movie adaptations of books like Shawshank Redemption and The Godfather were such big hits and one of the best movies. But unfortunately, not all book to movie adaptations are great. Have you ever seen Percy Jackson movies? If yes, then you know what I am talking about.  Here's a list of 10 books to movie adaptations that are just not 'it.' Giver, Lois Lowery You would expect a great movie when it comes to actors like Meryll Streep and Katie Holmes starring in this movie along with a Taylor Swift cameo. But this movie was quite different than books and definitely not better than books. The movie all together wasn't bad, but it wasn't the same level as the books. The movies weren't able to capture the books' emotional depth, which led to a big 'Nah' from me. The DaVinci Code, Dan Brown  The DaVinci Code was a great book, so I thought, let's give the mov

Crush (Crave 2) Review (Soilers!!!)

I just finished reading this book, and by the angel, it's one of the books I can not describe in a single word. I don't know how to feel about this book; there are some aspects of this book that I don't like, some elements that I love and some that I absolutely hate. Most reviews that I read about this book says it's better than Crave, and to be completely honest, that's not the scenario for me. Plus, the cliffhanger she ended the book with will definitely mess up my head while I'm giving my mid-terms. In the last book, Crave, we see that Hudson is the villain. But even a villain has a story. And we get to know some part of it. But let's start at the beginning.  So the last book left us at the cliffhanger where Hudson is attacking Jason when Grace comes in between them and then turns to stone. Now in Crush, Grace is back, but the problem she doesn't remember anything that happened in the last 4 months that she's been a stone statue. And Hudson is n

Best Scientific novel of all time

If you think I only read Shadowhunters alongside some other books from YA genre, I am proving you wrong. I read science books too!!  Well, here are my top 5 science book that I read and totally loved! 1. The Theory of Everything - Stephen Hawkins     Based on a series of lectures given at Cambridge University, Professor Hawking's work introduced "the history of ideas about the universe" as well as today's most important scientific theories about time, space, and the cosmos in a clear, easy-to-understand way. "The Theory of Everything" presents the most complex theories, both past and present, of physics; yet it remains clear and accessible. It will enlighten readers and expose them to the rich history of scientific thought and the complexities of the universe in which we live. 2. The Time Machine - HG Wells        So begins the Time Traveller’s astonishing firsthand account of his journey 800,000 years beyond his own era—and the story that launched H.G. Well

Book Character questionnaire!!

Hey! Hope you are all doing well. Here is a book character questionnaire. If you don't know what that is, it's where I answer questions about characters I would choose in specific scenarios. So here we go :) Q1 If you can travel the world with one character who would it be and why? If I can travel the world with one character that will probably be Magnus from Shadowhunter. Like, have you seen that guy? Plus the travel costs will probably be free. Magnus is one of those characters who are carefree, doesn't worry much and just let it go, you know in general fun. So it would be great to take on the world with him. Q2 Which character would you wanna go on a long road trip? If I had planned a long road trip, I would probably want to go with Leo Valdez from the Heroes of Olympus. I mean Leo is fun and sassy and one of my favourite characters from the Percy Jackson Universe. He has a crazy Sense of humour, which I mean, who doesn't want in a road trip companion.  Q3 Which char

The Lost Book of White (my thoughts)

I am writing this just after finishing the book, so if I seem a little out of it them I'm still somewhere in Diyu (well Shanghai is better than Diyu so maybe Shanghai). Excellent is all I can say about this book. The whole group- Jace, Clary, Isabella, Simon, Alec and Magnus reunited made this book hell lot of more fun (pun intended). And I was so not ready for the bonus scene about Jem and Tessa at the end. Okay so let's just get where I tell you what happened and what I liked about it because I think I'm kind of fangirling.  So, first of all, isn't Max a cutie. It was fun watching how Maryse and Kadir were trying so hard to handle that baby. So back to the real story, no more fangirling, we get to know that Ragnor Fell was never actually dead and he faked his death to get away from Samael, Father of Demons Devourer of Realms and many more titles I'm in no mood to type. So he came back because of Lilith's agony and apparently wanted to unleash hell on Earth lik
