“ That which you understand you call science . That which you don’t, you call magic .”   When President Orains gets re-elected for a third term in 2025, the nation plunges into a second Civil War. Doomed for the Brazos camp, Brum Hesles, her two siblings, and her mother flee their home in the Houston archipelago overnight, leaving her father behind. Assisted by the Unity Forces, a resistance group fighting the new Great Republic’s regime, Brum reaches the safety of her mother’s ancestral home in the Oaxacan town of El Nidal. There, in the relative safety of her mysterious great-aunt’s house, she discovers a library brimming with strange manuscripts, artifacts, and the “musical” key to a world she thinks is safer than her own.  Who is the heiress of Mitla? Do not think that I wouldn't become a monster to keep them protected.   SYNOPSIS: Feyre's survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill – the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator, and killing something so precious comes at a price ... Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jeweled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre's presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever. This fantastic, enthralling book series by Sarah J Mass has so many incredible action scenes and such a well

Book Universes that feel like home

I’ve read so many books, and some of the books have become my home. Reading those books makes me feel like I’m returning back home. I have re-read these books so many times that I can recite paragraphs of the book word-to-word. Here are some book universes that have become a home for me, and I would do anything to get an opportunity to visit these universes.  The word Hiraeth perfectly describes my feeling when I talk about Velaris or Hogwarts. 1. I will sell my soul to be part of the Crows especially. I did not like the Shadow and Bone series too much, but Six of Crows and King of Scars duology have me by my heart. I absolutely loved it! I love criminal books, and I love heists, even more, making me love the Six of Crows even more. I've read around 3-4 books about a heist, and I ho

Favorite OTP's of all time (Part 2)

Valentine's day is coming, and love is supposed to be in the air. Well, for some people, at least, I am sitting in my home writing about fictional characters and their pairings, so who am I to say? So since I am gonna be drinking hot chocolate and reading A Court of Mist and Fury at home, I decided to do a second part of my favorite OTP's. I am going to put the link to the first one down. OTP's are Fictional couples who are endgame from my favorite novels! As much as I love to sit at home and binge The Vampire Diaries, I won't be including Damon and Elena or Klause and Caroline (I ship them more than I ship Stefan and Caroline!) because I haven't read the books.  Kaz and Inej, Six of Crows "I would come for you, and If I couldn't walk, I'd crawl to you." This couple was the most awesome couple I have ever shipped. I mean, the satisfaction that I got when Kaz let Inej hold his hand without gloves was one of the best feelings ever. Kaz Brekker is the
