What We know about The Lost Book of The White

Image
Life is good for Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood. They're living together in a fabulous loft, their warlock son, Max, has started learning to walk, and the streets of New York are peaceful and quiet—as peaceful and quiet as they ever are, anyway. Until the night that two old acquaintances break into Magnus's apartment and steal the powerful Book of the White. Now Magnus and Alec will have to drop everything to get it back. They need to follow the thieves to Shanghai, they need to call some backup to accompany them, and they need a babysitter. Also, someone has stabbed Magnus with a strange magical weapon, and the wound is glowing, so they have that to worry about too. Fortunately, their backup consists of Clary, Jace, Isabelle, and newly-minted Shadowhunter Simon. In Shanghai, they learn that a much darker threat awaits them. Magnus's magic is growing unstable, and if they can't stop the demons flooding into the city, they might have to follow them all the way back to th

Chain of Gold Book Review ( Spoiler Alert!!)

Image
I know I'm pretty late to do this since the book came out in March, and as of now, it's August, but I am still gonna do it.  The Chain of Gold is the first book in The Last Hours series and is set in Edwardian London and is the next generation story of The Infernal Devices series, which is set in Victorian London.  The book is mostly written from the point of Cordelia Carstairs, who is the female main character. Other main characters include James and Lucie Herondale, Thomas and Christopher Lightwood, Matthew Fairchild, Jesse, Grace Blackthorn, and Alastair Carstairs.  We were first introduced to this era in Tales from Shadowhunter Academy, where Tessa tells us about James and how he can slip in as shadows due to his demonic origins from his mother's side ( Tessa is his mother). We are also told about how Matthew and James become Parabatai.  Then in a few bonus chapters from Cassandra claire before the book's release,k we were told about the relationship of Herondale

Favorite OTP's of all time

Image
Y ou know when you are reading a book, and you come across this match made in heaven like Jace and himself and oh Percy Jackson and sass. Yeah, that's what I am talking about. OTP's (one true pairing) just make your life better (you know with how much you cry when you find out that one of them dies in the end). Ok, well, we are talking about real pairings here like Malec.  I am not gonna count the ships from a Romance novel because they are romance novels for a reason. If you are hoping to find Lara Jean and peter on this list, don't try. Also, I am not going for One book One ship because I have multiple ships from the same book, like Wessa and Jessa (  even though I am a bigger fan of Heronstairs). And if you assumed there is going to be a lot of shadowhunter ships in here, then you are probably not wrong. So here is a list of my favorite OTP's (I love them all the same even when some of them made me suffer. Can I tag Veronica Roth  here).  Percy and Annabeth, Percy Ja

How To Read The Shadowhunter Chronicles

Image
So many people I know always ask me how to read the shadowhunter chronicles in order and my most usual reply is the order in which it was released. But I didn't read the book in that order. There can be many different orders in which you read the shadowhunter series. So in this list, I am going to tell you how it should be read (in the order it was published). I usually don't advise many people on reading it in chronological order since I never read it that way, but you can read it in chronological order. I don't recommend reading this way because well, The Last Hours series is yet to be published entirely and can destroy the fun of reading. I think the book should be read like they were published. If you read in chronological order, there is going to be a problem with the other books as the Tale Of Shadowhunter Academy tells us a lot about our main characters in The Last Hour series but is to be read after The Mortal Instrument series. The rest of the side books can be re

Mid Year Book Freakout Tag | 2020

Image
So we have officially hit the mid-year of 2020, which means a Mid-Year Book Freakout Tag!! Q1 What's the best book you read so far in 2020? So the best book I've read so far this year is Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare, the first book in The last hour trilogy. I had been waiting for this book to come out since November 2019, and well, it didn't let me down even if it broke my heart.  The main story of this book is about James and Lucie Herondale ( children of Will Herondale 😊), but it's written from the perspective of Cordelia Carstairs, who comes to the London institute. There has been less and less demonic activity around London, which is suspicious, but that only happens due to the entry of an unexpected villain. This problem is solved by our favorite groups of Herondales, Carstairs, Fairchild, and lightwoods. James and Cordelia have to fight them off along with Lucie and the Merry Thieves(the group of James along with his friends Matthew, Thomas, and Christopher).
